Who is Tarrell Mark James?

I remember starting a blog in the early 2010s. It was actually a project put together by my health teacher at the time back in 8th grade. I loved the entire process of putting it together and creating the theme behind it.

It was a blog dedicated completely to my personal artistry. I would post pics of my art at the time like portraits and such, then talk about the piece. It was so fun but as we talked about the blogging project less in class, I did work on that platform a lot less. 

But I do look at my old blog every few years just for the nostalgia of it all LMAO. Fast forward years later, I produced on both Substack and Medium but two variables threw me off.

1. I didn't like how neither platforms looked. Especially Substack.
2. It wasn't my own platform so it felt like I was renting the platforms audience base in a way. Just didn't feel completely natural. Whereas, with Shopify, I could things like audience demographics and also sell a plethora of products to my audience.

So, now that it's 2025, I think I'm ready to actually take this venture serious. Not necessarily trying to make a mil a month off this blog tho. I'm really just doing this as a means of venting or maybe even therapy you could say. 

I mean such powerful tool should be utilized, no? If I deeply enjoy writing, I'm obsessed with myself, AND this platform is practically free, I might as as well start this venture. 

Plus, maybe I could inspire the 18, 25 or 45 version of myself out there where I'm not actively exploring my creativity. This could be you reading rn. Who knows.

The incredible aspect of this venture that it'll be like you're watching what I achieve through this magnifying glass. All my mess-ups, all my learnings, all the behind the scenes of my life as a artist building this lifestyle up. 

It will all be here for the world to read on display.
